Get Involved

There’s something for everyone  at VCC:

Ministries for kids and youth, life groups, music, counseling and prayer.

Friday Night Revival Service
On Friday nights at 7:00 PM generations and families from many different walks of life come together to seek God and His presence. The evening is a time of worship, teaching and impartation: seeing God in action as he releases the Father’s heart, bringing healing into our lives through His Holy Spirit. Many times, often right in the worship service, Pastor John and the team may give a prophetic word as they flow in an anointing of grace and encouragement. Many have come from across Canada and the United States to experience God’s transforming power. We invite you to join us on this journey of faith to see His kingdom come and His will be done. See you soon!
Monday Night Life Group
On Monday night at 7:00 PM the church hosts a life group led by Bud Ross. This group is for everyone, men and women from 18 to 88 and beyond. This group chooses a video series to study, which generally extends over a three-month period.
Each new video series deals with a different topic, to help us engage with the diverse needs of our community in a spiritual and God-honouring way.
Please join us!
Current Study: The Supernatural Ways of Royalty by Kris Vallotton
Tuesday Afternoon Prayer
Welcome to Tuesday Afternoon Prayer! We spend the first hour, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in worship and soaking in His presence. From 4:00 to 5:00 PM we engage in corporate prayer with each person in attendance encouraged to seek the Lord and pray what they feel is on the Father’s Heart. Prayer leaders are there to lead and encourage each person to pray and touch heaven while their hearts cry for God.
In Exodus 33:15 Moses said, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.”
Come and join us for prayer because, as it says in the book of James, “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” (James 5:16)
Revolution Youth
Every Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9:00 PM teens from the ages of 12-17 meet to attend youth group. Evenings consist of games, worship and a message. The subject of the message relates to issues faced by our youth today, and themes from the Bible.
After the message the youth are encouraged to play sports in the gym, join a game outside, or participate in one of the music learning workshops we have going on. Computers and printers are available if the youth want to use this time to do their homework.
Staff and leaders are always available to talk to, have fun with and to help out.
Heartbeat After School Youth Group
Our youth ministry is known in the community as “Heartbeat After-School Youth Program.” It’s uniquely designed to reach youth from 12 to 18 years of age. The program is absolutely FREE and runs Tuesday to Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, with a Tuesday night extension from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. For more information please call us at 905.985.1346 or email us at vccpp@powergate.ca.
Kids At Victory
Our children’s ministry is one-of-a-kind and consists of three important ministries:
The Nursery for those Newborn to 2-years-old Wee Warriors for those 2 to 5-years-old Xplorers for those 5 to 12-years-old
Each kids ministry is specialized to their age-group and promotes play and teaching and creating a child-culture of loving Jesus and reaching the community.
*We are currently accepting new volunteers. Please speak with Pastor John if you would like to help.
Library and Coffee Ministry
One unique feature of VCC is the Library and Coffee Ministry team. After any service or event our cafe opens up for FREE coffee and treats. While you’re grabbing a coffee why not check out our library, which features hundreds of books, DVD’s, and CD’s that you can borrow (as long as you return them!) It’s also a great opportunity to meet with the local church community and have a conversation with one of our ministry team leaders or Pastor John.
Media And Music
Our music and media ministry is designed for people of all ages. We love to dance, shout and sing as a church. You have an opportunity to be a part of this team whether you can play an instrument and sing, or are skilled in sound, multi-media and video recording. If you are interested in becoming part of the team please speak with Johnathan Benschop.
Onsite Counselling Services
Heart and Home Counselling and Consulting Services is a multi-faceted resource centre geared to providing a wide variety of counselling and consulting services to the community of Durham Region and beyond. The team at Heart and Home knows that life presents many challenges. Their goal is to work with people in whatever situation they are in to provide insight, understanding, perspective, keys and strategies for success in their relationships. This may come in the form of counselling, workshops, courses, seminars, or even speaking engagements to teach and reach more on a larger scale.
